Join us for an exclusive visit to the Limmern Pumped Storage Plant, a remarkable feat of engineering located in the Glarus Alps. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore one of Axpo's most significant projects, valued at 2.1 billion CHF, with a massive capacity of 1000 megawatts. The plant operates between Lake Limmern and Lake Mutt, the latter situated 2500 meters above sea level, home to Switzerland's longest dam.
The tour will last approximately 2.5 hours and includes a guided tour of the pumped storage plant, where you'll discover how this vast "battery" stores electrical energy and redistributes it when needed. A speaker from Axpo will provide an in-depth presentation on the plant's operations. Additionally, participants will enjoy a ride on the funicular, offering breathtaking views as you ascend to the site.
The Tour will be hosted in German and English.
This event is perfect for those interested in sustainable energy and large-scale infrastructure projects. Don't miss this chance to see cutting-edge energy storage technology in action!
